Car Aficionados Paradise on Four Wheels

Pahrump, Nev. - Club Spring Mountain Motorsports Country Club is a sport car aficionados’ paradise.  Located on the Mojave Desert plain below the majestic Spring Mountains of Southern Nevada and bumped up against Pahrump with a view of Mount Charleston, just less than an hour drive from the Las Vegas Strip, Club Spring Mountain’s 193-acres is dedicated to the art, science and pure love of sports and exotic car owners and racing.

The only private motorsports country club in the southwestern United States, Club Spring Mountain is the brainchild of two California-based entrepreneurs and driving enthusiasts, John Morris and Brad Rambo. Together, they have created a world-class facility which includes a 3.5-mile private road course, 56 private single or double-bay garages, the newly-completed $3 million, 8,000 square foot resort-style clubhouse dedicated solely to the comfort and use of the club’s members, three high performance driving schools, new flying club, karting and indoor shooting range.

Says Club Spring Mountain CEO John Morris, “We’re selling memberships like a golf country club, but instead of golf, our members play with their own sports and exotic cars - Corvettes, Lamborghinis, Porsches, BMWs, Mercedes, Ferraris, Mustangs, or even Mini-Coopers.  Drivers of all skill levels can drive at their own pace and experience the excitement of motorsports with the added convenience and exclusivity of a private club.”

Club Spring Mountain offers the opportunity for private track time on its 3.5-mile road course.  Members are invited to drive their own vehicles, and there are three fleets of high-performance cars;  25 Corvettes, 16 Lotus Sports cars, and two-seater $80,000 Radical British racing cars available to the membership with certified instruction for additional fees.  In addition, the track has been sectioned off a separate 1.2-mile course for the club’s fleet of 12 Rotax Karts, for members who to drive as an additional member perk at speeds up to 80 mph hitting elevations of 50 feet.

The new resort-style $3 million clubhouse, decorated in the cushy men’s club style with sink-in leather couches, body-enveloping Daddy Bear chairs,  Persian-style rugs, potted orchids and graceful Areca palms,  features a fully-stocked catering kitchen, a massive granite bar and serving area, 75-seat dining area, men’s and women’s locker rooms, an executive conference room,  nine-foot Connelly billiard table, custom poker facilities, and nine wall-mounted plasma television monitors equipped for closed-circuit action on the track or broadcast sports.  An outdoor giant veranda with cooling misters, outdoor barbecue area, a huge fire pit for those cool desert nights, connects to a 23-foot-tall elevated viewing tower for members and their contemporaries to capture the action on the track from a higher vantage point.

Completing the luxurious country club environment is a 40-foot outdoor swimming pool and a separate 600-square foot workout facility with state-of-the-art equipment including free weights, elliptical trainers, treadmills and a universal gym. For après-sports comfort, there is a spa room with a heated massage table for by-appointment massage services and an outdoor 14-person Jacuzzi.

For budding Mario Andretti’s and Danica Patrick’s, the Club has launched for its Club Members the  Spring Mountain Radical, Sports and Exotic Car Race Series, which include two-day meets held seven weekends throughout the year (May, August, October, November and December) and is open to qualifying members and their rolling stock.  Both racing series will include official race flaggers, corner workers and an ambulance on stand-by.

And not only is Club Spring Mountain a driver’s paradise, the club offers to members a fleet of two ultra-cool Remo G-30s Light Sport Aircrafts, a perfect thrill for members to discover the easy-to-learn aircraft with rides or flight lessons in two-seater planes.  Using the track straight-away for the runway, members may reserve private flying lessons with certified flight instructor and master pilot Elisabeth Murillo for a mere $70 per hour.  Too, members in as little as 20 hours of flight time can receive a Light Sport Aircraft license for only $2,300.  A Cessna 206 six-passenger plane is available for private charters, and the Club has purchased a lot at the nearby Calvada Private Airport and hanger for its flying club operations.

Too, a new two-station indoor shooting range provides members full shooter protection in an atmosphere-controlled, enclosed environment.

Construction is underway for new helicopter and RV pads for rentals, a 1,500-square-foot Karting building, and 86 new rentable garages, all to be completed in 2008.  An 8,000-square-foot Lotus building, with construction starting May 15, will feature a racquetball court and two VirtualGT super-realistic auto racing simulators designed for race training and entertainment and known by pro racers as the closest you can get to the real thing.  The Lotus building will also house the Lotus Performance Driving Program’s maintenance and storage facilities, a PowerTec engine shop and Dino machine shop, scheduled to be completed by late summer.

An 83-room/17-suite Microtel franchise hotel will be built on the grounds with groundbreaking slated by early 2009.  Plans for an exotic car dealership and interest by club members for condominiums are being considered.

Memberships to Club Spring Mountain are available for a limited time, with the following one-time initiation fees:  Classic $7,500, Charter $35,000, and Corporate $100,000.  In addition to the initiation fee, monthly dues are $150 per month for Classic members, $125 for Charter, and $500 monthly dues for Corporate, with $60 per day use fee, which guarantees exclusive track time for up to 16 days per month.  Members can invite guests to ride along in their cars, or to bring their own car to drive on the track, based upon the membership category.
